The 65 bus route goes right past the grounds and the nearest stop in both directions is the ‘Lion Gate’. If arriving by car, parking is available in the grounds.
Equipment
All courses are taught shooting training recurve bows with and without a sight. All archery equipment will be provided so you do not need to buy any equipment prior to your course.
Clothing and Accessories
We recommend you wear close fitting clothing, prepare for changeable weather, layers are your best friend. We generally continue even in wind and rain so don’t forget your raincoat and suntan lotion. For safety reasons, you must not wear open toed shoes (no sandals, no flipflops or sliders and no crocs). Please note that for the same reason you will be asked to tie up any long hair and take off any long/chunky jewellery.
Refreshments and Facilities
Hot and cold drinks and biscuits will be available in the clubhouse kitchen. There is a bar and hot food available in the pavilion of the Old Dear Park grounds.
Disabled toilets are available at the clubhouse and further toilets are available at the pavilion.
Coaching Staff
All our courses are run by Archery GB qualified coaches and instructors. During your course you will receive 1-1 instruction, ensuring high quality learning throughout the course.
Booking and Cancellation
Our courses are filled on a first come first served basis. Archery is an all-weather sport and shooting is only ever cancelled due to extreme weather (lightning storm or extreme gale force winds). In such an unlikely event an additional replacement date will be offered.
If you need to cancel your booking, please note that we do require 14-days notice.
